What to do

Let the Landscape Be Your Guide

Where the Day Unfolds Outdoors

From Eyri, winding paths follow small streams and rise gently toward the waterfall above the farm. Beyond it, the walk continues to a small lake, where wide-open views and quiet beauty feel almost otherworldly. Another path leads along the shoreline toward Hvalfjarðareyri, where a small lighthouse has long guided seafarers through the fjord.

Close by, the landscape invites further exploration—from the natural sea baths at Hvammsvík to local swimming pools on Kjalarnes and in Hvalfjarðarsveit. Walk to Glymur waterfall, wander through the forest at Fossá, or, if the day calls for good food and shared meals, stop by Háls to pick up some of the finest local beef before returning to cook and linger together.

For days spent outdoors, each house is equipped with a picnic bag—making it easy to bring along a simple meal and enjoy the landscape a little longer, well nourished in both body and spirit.
